Presented at SilkRoad Connections, SilkRoad’s annual customer conference, the awards included a top overall honor (Outstanding Talent Activation) and three sub categories honoring outstanding program elements: ROI, Branding and New Hire Experience.
Accenture earned top honors, the Outstanding Talent Activation Award
By personalizing the new joiner experience, Accenture ensures this “moment that matters” to each person reflects their role, location, experience, and any number of factors. Accenture creates connections from offer acceptance through the first year, onboarding around 10,000 new joiners in North America every year. With the program, Accenture achieves 100% compliance from new joiners, while enabling them to focus on their own individualized, unique journey.

Talent Activation ROI Award – HomeAway
HomeAway’s ability to use automated workflows tailored to each of their global locations improved their employee onboarding experience in addition to decreasing the number of tasks needed to successfully relocate an employee. The company also streamlined international employee onboarding from a process that took 29 business days to three or fewer by using the SilkRoad Onboarding Global Mobility workflow and was able to reduce the number of manual steps needed to complete employee relocation from 11 to one.
Talent Activation Branding Award – NCSOFT
NCSOFT’s goal was to deliver a best in class onboarding program that would engage new hires immediately upon acceptance of an offer. It leveraged the “NC Launch” branded onboarding site as a way to introduce new hires to its culture and get them excited about joining NCSOFT as well as to equip them with the knowledge and socialization required to be successful on day one. The NC Launch platform provides an experience for new hires that strengthens the employment brand, accelerates new hire performance and maximizes retention. The onboarding program also gives new hires an opportunity to collaborate with hiring managers early in the new-hire process.
Talent Activation New Hire Experience Award – Gulfstream Aerospace
