These sessions have been crafted to leverage the latest best practices and trends to provide you with tons of applicable insights that can be implemented right away.

Here are some examples of just a few of the sessions that will be featured:

Five Essentials for Upleveling the Recruiting Function

In this session, recruiting steps into the spotlight, grabbing a strategic role that directly impacts the bottom-line of your organization and secures the best talent in a candidate’s market. We will discuss the mechanics of creating a powerful employer value proposition and brand, how to segment your message for different candidate audiences, how to leverage current social and mobile technologies to create a memorable candidate experience, how to empower and activate current employees, and how to deploy people analytics to measure what’s working.

Onboarding: From Engagement to Experience

Companies recognize the impact of experience on their growth and profitability and are making changes to how they communicate with, engage, and support their customers. In fact, according to Aptitude Research Partners’ (ARP) 2016 Hire, Engage, and Retain research, 60% of companies have an executive level customer experience role in place. But, creating an engaging experience does not and should not end with the customer. It must extend into our workforce- particularly with our new hires. Companies that create a positive experience for their new hires (including their contingent workforce) are able to improve productivity, retention and performance. Yet, organizations often do not know how to extend the new hire experience beyond the first few days or beyond their traditional workforce.

This presentation will address the following questions about the future of onboarding:

  • What challenges do organizations face when improving the new hire experience?
  • How can companies connect the new hire experience with the employee experience as well as the customer experience?
  • How can companies extend onboarding beyond their traditional workforce to include contingent workers?
  • What is the business impact of a positive new hire experience?
  • How can organizations create both a consistent but customized experience for new hires?

HR’s Role in NextGen Performance Management

Performance management is important for one simple reason: performance determines the organization’s ability to meet its goals. However, how many organizations design their performance management process with business strategy in mind?

This breakout session will cover:

  • Why performance management needs to align with business strategy
  • Three (3) opportunities to align performance management with business strategy
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of performance management
