SilkRoad technology, inc., a leading provider of talent management solutions, announced that its first quarter earnings for 2009 marked the 23rd consecutive period of sales growth for the company. Highlights from the quarter include strategic partnerships in the U.S. and abroad, and customers purchasing multiple Life Suite solutions.
"Our enduring sales growth and new global partnerships are a testament to the strength and quality of the Life Suite solutions," said Andrew J. "Flip" Filipowski, Executive Chairman & CEO of SilkRoad technology. "In today's shaky economy, companies continue to look for cost-effective ways to measure employee performance, attract new talent, and engage and retain existing staff. SilkRoad remains a partner on those efforts for more than 1,000 companies around the globe."
SilkRoad expanded its business reach in India through a partnership with India's C&K Management Ltd. which will help companies in the Indian market attract and retain top workers. The new partnership combines SilkRoad's award-winning technology with the strategic regional talent management capabilities of C&K. Brian Platz, Chief Operating Officer for SilkRoad technology, traveled to India to unveil the partnership during a ceremony with senior executives from C&K Management, where the companies announced plans to tap into India's job market of more than 30 million employees in the corporate sector. SilkRoad has many existing clients operating in India including Freescale Semiconductor and McAfee.
In March, SilkRoad joined Jobfox and other human resource technology providers to introduce ResumePal, the recruiting industry's first universally accepted online employment application. ResumePal revolutionizes the way applicants and employers connect by eliminating time spent completing multiple forms and allows employers to get more accurate candidate information the first time around. With the new format, job seekers complete a one-time online career profile to apply at thousands of companies accepting the new standard. The new standard is now a part of SilkRoad's market-leading OpenHire recruiting management solution, which continues to add new clients including Alloy Media + Marketing, Range Resources Corporation, and Safira.
Other new customers during the first quarter of 2009 included American Chemical Society, Medifast, and Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. Several new clients purchased multiple Life Suite products: DMS International Inc., Cherry Bekaert & Holland, Genoa Healthcare, and Southland Industries Inc.
One trend among new clients in 2009 appears to be companies becoming more "green" in the new year. Several new clients, including Graebel Companies, Inc., selected multiple SilkRoad products as part of their company's efforts to bring more of their HR activity online, reducing reliance on hardcopy paper forms.
