SilkRoad Technology Wins 2012 Best in Biz Award

Point Social Collaboration Software Selected as Bronze Winner for Best New Product of the Year

SilkRoad Technology, a leading global provider of cloud-based social talent management software, today announced that its Point™ social collaboration software has been named a bronze winner for Best New Product of the Year.  The Best in Biz Awards are the only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.

Point is a groundbreaking new employee-centric solution that connects employees to each other and their organization by uniting the popular features of social collaboration with talent management.  Point gives employees a centralized talent management platform with a forum to share expertise and be recognized by peers and leaders; therefore allowing them to drive their own careers and increase employee engagement.  Companies benefit by having a platform that reveals emerging trends and associated subject matter experts to better understand who and what is driving their business.

More than 400 entries were received in this year’s awards program, from public and private companies of all sizes and from a variety of industries in the U.S. and Canada.  Best in Biz Awards 2012 honors were presented in more than 50 categories, including Company of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, Executive of the Year and Best New Product of the Year.

“What differentiates Point from any other social collaboration software on the market today is the integration with a complete talent management suite and its ability to organically pinpoint the influencers within an organization, which  empowers them to drive company and career success simultaneously,” said Edward Vesely, EVP and chief marketing officer of SilkRoad Technology.  “We are honored to have this innovative new application recognized by our industry peers as 2012’s Bronze winner for Best New Product.”

Winners of Best in Biz Awards 2012 were determined by an independent panel of 32 judges from top-tier news, business and technology publications, as well as broadcast outlets and analyst firms.  Outlets included ABC, Businessweek, Computerworld, ECT News Network, Entrepreneur, eWeek, Examiner, Financial Times, Forbes, FOX News, Hartford Business Journal, IDG Ventures, IEEE Institute, Inc., Insight Media, King Features Syndicate, Lab Reviews, Network World, The News and Observer, PC Magazine, ReadWriteWeb, South Florida Business Journal, Tech-Gaming, Techtalk, Upstart Business Journal, USA Today and ZDNet.
