    SilkRoad Expands International Operations, Accelerates Innovation and Customer Adoption in Q3 2012

    Momentum for SilkRoad Fueled by International Growth, Product Innovation and Customer Acquisitions, including GTE Federal Credit Union, Unisys Corporation, Utah System of Higher Education, Heartland Dental Care, Inc., GNP Insurance Group and General Atomics

    The leading independent software company dedicated to engaging employees and HR professionals, SilkRoad today reported record customer growth during the third quarter.  The Company, which provides social talent management solutions, welcomed organizations to its roster such as GTE Federal Credit Union, wise Group, CraftMark, Unisys Corporation, Greenhill & Co, Utah System of Higher Education, Heartland Dental Care, Inc., BGEA, GNP Insurance Group and General Atomics.  In addition, SilkRoad made significant investments in growing its international operations and enhancing the mobile and application integration capabilities of its Life Suite offering.

    “Over the last year, record levels of investment have poured into the Human Capital Management industry, further validating the future and promise of HR in the cloud,” said Flip Filipowski, CEO of SilkRoad.  “Our singular priority is to continue to innovate, giving our customers access to the most complete and advanced social talent management platform available.  Over the past quarter, we added new customers to our roster who were inspired by that commitment and we expect this growth to continue as the economy gains momentum.”

    Highlights from the Quarter:

    Product Innovation – Over the course of the quarter, SilkRoad:

    • Enhanced the Life Suite with social networking and mobility innovations that ensure employees and managers alike can access its cloud applications from popular tablet and mobile phone devices.
    • Improved the social performance and learning experiences by further integrating Point, GreenLight and WingSpan to create an unparalleled employee experience.
    • Experienced strong growth in the HRMS market as the HeartBeat was chosen by mid-market companies to serve as an HR system of record, complete with paid time off (PTO), benefit and open enrollment options.
    • Strengthened the interoperability within the integrated Life Suite and improved the ability to share data with other HRMS, CRM and ERP applications.

    International Growth – In the third quarter, SilkRoad increased its international footprint with new offices in Scandinavia and Mexico to support its growing international presence.  Over the past five years, SilkRoad has grown to over 20 offices, signed a number of strategic partnerships and diversified the geographic makeup of its customer base.  Currently more than 25 percent of SilkRoad’s customers are located in countries outside North America.

    Analyst Recognition – During the third quarter, SilkRoad was ranked a major player in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Social Technology in Integrated Talent Management 2012 Vendor Analysis.  IDC recognized SilkRoad for its social recruiting capabilities and employee-centric solutions designed to cover all facets of talent management.

    Industry Recognition – Also in the third quarter, SilkRoad won or placed as a finalist in the following: American Business Awards (OpenHire), Golden Bridge Awards (Point) and NCTA 21 (Fastest Growing Company).  SilkRoad was named a 2012 #hrwins HR Company to Watch by Larocque for its innovative social collaboration solution, Point.  The Company was also named a Triad Top Workplaces based solely on employee feedback.

    Strategic Partnerships Throughout the third quarter, SilkRoad teamed up with TalentBin, a talent search engine that turbo-charges talent discovery across the web.  The partnership provides customers with enhanced social recruiting capabilities for access to greater, more relevant candidates.
